Commentaries on The Protection of Children From Sexual Offences Act, 2012

It transpired from a decision of the Supreme Court that more than three lakhs cases are pending in the State of U.P. This figure shows that the social condition of our country is becoming bad to worse. And time has come to cope with this unfortunate situation firmly. As such, there is need for imposition of severe punishment to those persons who indulge in sex with children below 18 years. The POCSO Act aims to eradicate sex with children. Sen Gupta in his Commentary on POCSO Act has dealt with every aspect of this Act in detail.
