Environmental Ethics relates to corporate responsibility for the community and the environment. Volume Three on the Environment includes a case-study of the Bhopal Gas disaster in India; comparisons between attitudes in the West and in the East, (that is, Japan), towards environmental protection; and references to the United Nations 'Earth Summit' (Rio) 1992.
The research agenda of the Centre for Business and Public Sector Ethics, Cambridge forms the backcloth to the Conference papers. The term Environmental Ethics focuses on standards, quality, environmental audit, corporate responsibility and best practice with regard to the environment, as well as on ideals towards which countries may aspire in order to seek to protect their own and the global environment. Environmental Ethics integrates, but extends, the subject of environmental law.
